In 1951, the GDP in Tibet was 129 million Yuan, and it surpassed 190 billion Yuan in 2020, with an increase of 7.8%. Substantial improvements have been made in the people’s lives, with the disposable income of urban and rural residents reached 41,156 Yuan and 14,598 Yuan respectively, an increase of 10% and 12.7%, ranking among the highest in China. The infrastructure has been improved continuously, and distinctive industries have seen robust growth.
