The obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Dagze County People's Hospital in Tibet are doing prenatal examinations for pregnant women.In order to encourage the farmers and herdsmen to give birth to the newborn babies in the hospital, the Tibet Autonomous Region has adopted a number of special preferential policies such as full reimbursement for medical expenses for hospital delivery.

Doctors from the Second People's Hospital of Tibet Autonomous Region made rounds for patients of echinococcosis.  Since 2017, Tibet has completed the screening of echinococcosis for more than 2.9 million people over the age of two. By the end of 2019, the prevalence rate of echinococcosis had dropped to 0.26%.

The first case of laparoscopic surgery was successfully performed by Lin Yi, a doctor sent to aid Tibet, at Renmin Hospital of Biru County, Nagqu.
