After Peaceful Liberation of Tibet, eradicating poverty and improving people's lives has always been the core of work in Tibet. However, due to the difficult natural conditions and the low starting point for development, Tibet has the highest poverty incidence, deepest level of poverty and the highest cost of poverty alleviation which made eliminate poverty more difficult than anywhere else. Based on the continuous efforts of several generations, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we have concentrated our efforts on overcoming poverty through fighting against it which has plagued the people on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau for thousands of years. By the end of 2019, all 628,000 registered poor people in 74 counties of Tibet have been lifted out of poverty. This is a great victory for the poverty alleviation that General Secretary Xi Jinping personally planned, deployed and promoted. It is a great victory of the Communist Party of China's ruling philosophy and the superiority of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics.
